About the Chef

Christian Reuther has been a qualified chef for over fifteen years. He has a broad experience in a la carte and offsite catering spanning a twelve-year career. After extensive experience in boutique catering in Europe and the UK, Christian settled in Daylesford, and worked at Deco Restaurant in the award winning Peppers Springs Retreat & Spa, and the Farmers Arms Hotel, before opening Ego Cakes & Catering in early 2007.

Ego Catering is located in Daylesford, Victoria, giving us access to the best of the regions organic and biodynamic produce, in addition to having access to the best of Melbourne's markets. He gives consideration to all nutritional requirements and his menus are of high standard, seasonal, and thoughtfully put together.

"Just wanted to thank you so much for an amazing afternoon and evening. Couldn't be happier with how everything went down. Got many great reports from guests about the food. So many comments actually, everybody loved it! Canapes were really interesting and delicious, calamari was perfect. Plenty of people were talking about the sorbet! Mains were awesome and the coffee was such a good ending. It's making me wish for it all again now! Definately recommending Ego to anyone who wants to know."
